Our Services

We offer highly personalised, science-based training and behavioural support for companion dogs.

Whether you’re welcoming a new dog into the home, managing a challenging adolescent, or navigating complex behavioural obstacles, We are here to educate and support you on your journey to a happier and harmonious life.

Our group classes are fantastic for mental stimulation and bonding and make a fulfilling addition to your dog’s weekly routine by offering them an opportunity to “work”.

You don’t need to have a “naughty” dog to join group training classes.

FAQ’s

  • Yes! We train online when the weather is bad, and we offer online consultations for clients outside of our service area or for dogs that can’t handle an in person session.

  • Like us, dogs spend their entire lives learning and really benefit mentally and emotionally from regular opportunities to be challenged mentally. My general recommendation is that a dog undergo force-free training for a minimum of the first year of life.

  • You need to bring with harness and lead, water bowl, treats and a treat pouch. You can also buy treats at the class.

  • We normally have between 3-7 dogs per class. Never more than 8. We prefer split the group into a new time slot rather than squeeze too many dogs in. Space is limited.

We keep a safe distance between the dogs, unless they are known to one another or are generally friendly and sociable.

  • You can enrol two dogs into the same course, and even qualify for a 10% discount on the course fees for the second dog, but you will need a second handler to assists.

We generally recommend for dogs in the same household that you either split them up into separate groups or alternate them

When Is a Behaviour Consultation the Right Choice?

Some behavioural challenges go beyond basic training and/or group classes. Private consultations will benefit you for the following:

🐾 Anxiety or Fear-Based behaviours

Your dog might seem overly nervous, shy, or lacking in confidence. This includes general anxiety, specific fears (like thunderstorms or loud noises), or phobias that affect their quality of life.

🐾 Social Struggles or Aggression

Whether your dog is reactive on walks, uncomfortable around other dogs, people or children.

🐾 Separation-Related Challenges

If your dog struggles when left alone and shows signs of distress preceding separations like barking, howling, chewing furniture, or scratching at doors, attempting to escape.

🐾 Difficulty Adjusting to Change

If your dog is struggling with big life transitions, such as a new baby, a house move, or the arrival of a new pet. Support can ease the adjustment and prevent problem behaviours from escalating.

🐾 Repetitive or Compulsive Behaviours

Behaviours such as digging, barking, excessive licking, eating non-food items (pica), mounting, or fixating on light/movement or inanimate objects indicate underlying stress or unmet needs that require deeper behavioural support.

Behaviour Consultation: How It Works

A woman with blonde hair in a ponytail, wearing a black vest and pants, is standing outside with a white poodle. The poodle is looking up at her and her body language suggests she might be giving a command or a treat. The background includes a wooden fence, trees, and blooming yellow flowers.

Before the Consultation

  • You’ll fill out a detailed pre-consultation form to help us understand your dog’s background and behaviour.

  • A veterinary check-up may be required first to rule out any pain or medical issues.

  • This helps us ensure the behaviour isn't being caused by physical discomfort or illness.

  • In most instances it helps to have a multidisciplinary team supporting your journey (veterinarian, physiotherapist etc.)

During the Consultation (60–90 minutes, in-person or online)

  • We take a deep dive into your pet’s daily routines, history, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Your dog’s temperament, development, and behavioural patterns are carefully assessed.

  • You’ll get practical advice right away, with exercises you can start immediately.

  • All guidance is based on current scientific research and best practices in animal behaviour.

After the Session

  • You’ll receive a session summary and your first set of recommendations along with a proposed session pland and schedule.

  • A follow-up session is expected within 1–3 weeks to assess progress and adjust the plan if needed.

  • More complex issues (like aggression or separation anxiety) typically require multiple sessions — package options are available.

Please Note:

  • Behaviour change is a gradual process that can take weeks, months and sometimes years.

  • Your dedication and consistency are key to achieving lasting results.

  • No ethical behaviourist can guarantee results (espcially in one session) beware of those that do!
